About IACET: The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is a non-profit association dedicated to quality continuing education and training programs. IACET is the only standard-setting organization approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for continuing education and training. The ANSI/IACET Standard is the core of thousands of educational programs worldwide.
The Safety Professional Association, INC. represents the roughly 2,500 safety professionals working at office buildings and construction sites throughout the City of New York. We have a relationship with the Department of Buildings, Department of Investigations, Landmarks PReservation Commission, Department of city Planning, Fire Department of New York, Office of Emergency Management, Department of Design and Construction, School Construction Authority, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, as well as the State Legislature, City Council, the Mayor's office and the Governor's Office to ensure that common sense safety regulations are fostered upon the safety industry. The Safety Professional Association, INC is a unique organization which for the first time provide a voice with regulators, administrators and elected officials so that someone may advocate for safety standards and practices that not just keep the public and workers safe at job sites and at office buildings throughout the City and State, but provide a conduit for better site safety management and economic growth through construction and renovation in New York City.
